Interview with Charity Parkerson, author of A Splash of Hope
Tell us about A Splash of Hope. Here is the blurb:
What genre is it? What kind of readers will it appeal to? Complete this sentence for us: If you like ________, you’ll love A Splash of Hope. You are a very prolific writer. How do you manage it? Can you tell us a bit about your other novels and series? Undefeated Series– This series is about a MMA fight club and some of the men who train there. They each have a unique background that has shaped the way they feel about the career they have chosen. They are listed as Sports Romance. The Sinner Series– The Sinners are a warrior clan blessed by God to have great strength, agility, and eternal life. However, these abilities came at a price; the price of human blood. Since the drinking of human blood is considered sacrilegious they were dubbed sinners and chose to live within their own community: The Society of Sinners. This series is Paranormal Romance. A Secure Heart– Smith Security Services is a private for-hire company ran by Shannon Smith along with his two best friends, brothers Bob and Weave Sparks. This book is about how one person’s actions can affect the lives of everyone around them. In this case, how the struggle with addiction can make or break not only the person battling the addiction but everyone who loves them, as well. It is Romantic Suspense. Blue Cheesecake– This is a short, fun, and highly erotic Sci-fi story about a woman who decides to check out a new restaurant in town that is shaped like a UFO. This started out a funny piece that I had written for a short story contest and it grew into a naughty story. It is listed as Sci-Fi Erotica. Being his Favorite– I won the Mistress of the Darkpath writing contest with a story about Jane Hughes and her run in with a police detective while she is enjoying a California vacation. Afterwards, I received a ton of emails from people wanting to know what happened to Jane after her fateful parking lot incident so this is her story. It is erotica. Sarah’s Dirty Secret– Sarah has been married for years and she is bored to tears. She also has a huge crush on her boss, Charlie. She spends quite a bit of time fantasizing about him and the feeling is mutual. Charlie wants Sarah every bit as much as she wants him but he does not want to harm her marriage in any way. You have to read it to find out what happens when this mutual desire collides. This is an Erotica. Of Ghosts and Dreams– Raven is convinced that she is going insane. She dreams every night about the same man and every day she wakes up torn between her desire to stay asleep and be with him, or to never sleep again. The big question is…is he real? This is Paranormal Erotica. Which is your favourite series to write? You have said that you blush whenever you write sex scenes. Is that your way of knowing that it’s working? What is the secret to writing great erotica? Writing a book is never easy, but other than that, what has been the toughest part – editing or marketing? Which indie authors do you enjoy reading? Who should we interview next? Tell us a bit about yourself. Have you got a site where readers can keep up with your work? Where can we buy your books? What’s next? *** Enjoyed this interview?
