Tell us about Playing For Keeps.

Playing For Keeps is a love story set in Detroit Michigan about two people who have always wanted to get together, but becoming a couple was never on the cards for them. That is, until life throws them the wild card that changed their fate and finally brought them together. When the couple decides to make it official and begins to pursue a journey that they hope will lead to ultimate happiness, librarian Tiana Richmond and Master Barber De’Andre Willis hold fast to their dreams of securing an everlasting future as one.

But as unforeseen obstacles threaten to consume them and the stakes become higher than they’d ever imagined, De’Andre and Tiana roll the dice and pray for a big win in the gamble of a lifetime.

What genre is it?

The genre is a romantic fiction.

What kind of readers will it appeal to?

Playing For Keeps will appeal to any true hopeless romantic and or diehard fan of true love and happy endings.

Complete this sentence for us: If you like __________, you’ll love Playing For Keeps.

If you like Delilah Dawson and Adrianne Byrd you’ll love Playing For Keeps.

Other than writing, what has been the toughest part of producing Playing For Keeps?

Editing has been the toughest part of writing this book because it is such a tedious process. You can go over the same paragraph twenty times and then find that on the twenty first time that the damn paragraph doesn’t fit with the point that you have been trying so hard to make.

Tell us about Swift Seductions.

Swift Seductions is the name of my erotic short stories that I post to my blog and upload to my website. “Swift” because they are very short reads and “Seductions” because of how fast my little XXX short stories will seduce you into wanting to be the star in your own Swift Seductions. I try to post two to three Swift seductions every couple of weeks and I usually post them during the evening and or late night. My little morsels of erotica have become quite popular among freaks and they are guaranteed to lull you to sleep and give you sweet dreams every single night.

No one ever expects a horror writer to be a zombie or a crime fiction writer to be a serial killer, but everyone expects writers of erotica to be a little bit … freaky. Are you?

Lol. Good girls never tell…but I will say that it’s not every day, that you’ll see a woman wearing black pumps with handcuffs attached to the sides of the heel, without a big dose of freak in them.

The whole world is going crazy for 50 Shades of Grey. Is erotica now more mainstream than ever?

No, it is just in my opinion that it’s much more acceptable now than it has ever been. There were plenty of amazing authors writing some pretty hot erotica well before Fifty Shades of Grey was even a concept in E. L. James’ mind, but with the fifty shades books being released during a time when women are embracing their sexual fantasies and putting themselves first sexually, erotica is now soaring to distances not normally seen.

You write poetry too. Tell us a bit about that.

Poetry is my first love, it is also how my writing career began. I have been writing poetry since I was twelve years old and I really believe that my pen and pad has saved me from going down the wrong path when I was a young girl. Well, that and my strict, I-dare-you-to-try-me mother! I was first introduced to poetry by rapper Tupac Shakur then I really got into my gift when my high school boyfriend passed away from cancer when were fourteen. Poetry is my writing roots, my safe haven and I will forever be a student of the art.

Can you give us a verse that is indicative of your style?

I’m a bad girl gone terrible
I like to play with beautiful minds
And solve difficult equations like… like love
I play in oceans to clear my mind
And search for other great poets
People who really understand me
I don’t sleep
I just think with my eyes closed
And make love with them open
So I can see the beauty in the connection we make

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m a hopeless romantic that loves to read and lounge or walk along the lake. I love quiet morning and late nights because these have become the best times to write in my house. I love my family and herbal teas, lingerie shops and bookstores. I am my own worst critic and my own best friend.

Have you got a blog where readers can keep up with your work?

Well, I have a blog but it is strictly for my Swift Seductions. But readers can keep up with my works by visiting my website which is www.indiatnorfleet.com or by following me on twitter @MsinnocentNdya or facebook me: Innocent Ndya India Norfleet.

When will we be able to buy Playing For Keeps, and where?

Readers will be able to buy my book this fall from my website, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon.

What’s next?

I will have a newsletter that my fans will be able to subscribe to coming in November.

A couple of my never before posted Swift Seductions will be available on Kindle at the beginning of November.

I have decided to make Playing For Keeps a part of a saga. So fans can look for the remaining three books in the future. I am currently working on the second book in the saga.
